Professor Adriana Madzharov is a behavioral scientist in the domain of consumer psychology. She is recognized as an expert on sensory marketing and aesthetics research. Her research examines how sensory stimuli in people’s environment (e.g., ambient scent, color, sound) influence perception and produce biases on behavior. Professor Madzharov’s research has been published in the leading academic psychology and business journals such as the Journal of Environmental Psychology, the Journal of Consumer Psychology, and the Journal of Marketing (Financial Times 50 list). Dr. Madzharov’s research has been presented at conferences worldwide and is regularly featured in the media, e.g., CNN, ABC7News, the Washington Post, the Chicago Tribune, Newsweek, Market Watch, and Science Daily. Professor Madzharov has consulted for a broad range of companies, from start-ups to large multinational companies, on marketing issues such as consumer behavior, product design, marketing strategy and communications. Professor Madzharov has taught marketing courses at Baruch College in New York City, and at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken. Professor Madzharov also teaches executives at Pfizer’s world headquarters in New York City.
